Starting with the basics, Xiaomi Mi 5S integrates the new 12MP 1/2.3-inch Sony IMX 378 sensor at 1.55µm pixel size with F/2.0 aperture and Dual LED, capable of recording 4K at 60 fps. The best part seems to be the presence of PDAF and OIS. The camera yields some beautiful natural colors, brightness that it’s far better than the camera of iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge comes with a 12 MP, f/1.7 rear camera equipped with IMX260 Exmor sensor. Even though the aperture is less means more focus and detail, still it can’t beat the latest Sony IMAX sensor.
Our third specimen is the world famous Apple’s iPhone 6s Plus. Everyone knows that Apple uses their camera sensors and doesn’t mention the technical configuration. Still, with the limited information provided iPhone 6s highlights 12MP BSI CMOS sensor with on-sensor phase detection, Dual-LED, OIS, and f/2.2 aperture. Still, that high aperture is can never withstand the terminals mentioned above.

Even votes were conducted between ordinary users and the professional photographers. Xiaomi Mi 5S won the votes with 110 votes (55%), held by Xiaomi for the normal users. Samsung S7 Edge was in second with 73 votes while Apple at last with only 17 votes.
When the professionals voted, Mi 5s gained 471 votes (49%), Samsung 328 votes, and Apple 155 votes, still preferring Mi 5s.

In the first image comparison, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Xiaomi Mi 5S camera had a tie. Thanks to S7 Edge’s small aperture, enabling it to focus more intensely, giving Mi 5S a tough time. However, iPhone 6s Plus camera was the worst and showed some poor light capturing in the image.
The second image proved iPhone 6s Plus to give better results as compared to the previous one. Still, the image seems to be not of that much detail like its rivals. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge showed some natural color variation along with a real focus. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi 5S appeared to be similar to iPhone 6S Plus when it comes to color production but still it was much focused and brighter than the other two smartphones. Up till now, both S7 Edge and Mi 5S are in a tie.
The third and the last image shows some unexpected results making Xiaomi Mi 5S the best among the three specimens. Once again iPhone 6s Plus disappoints us (we are not against iPhone, but the results are) with a blurry and less exposed image of the face. While, Samsung S7 Edge did a good job with the color production making the woman look a little bit natural. But Xiaomi Mi 5S camera leads the image by providing an entirely different result from its contestants. It restored the completely natural look of the face of the woman with no over whiteness and highly exposed the details. It looked like that the image was taken from a DSLR.
