Taiwan-based i-Motion Group, a startup based by Asustek Computer ex-president Jerry Shen, has unveiled a brand new product combining the functionalities of a POS, a printer and a laser scanner, concentrating on particularly the retail and logistic industries.
The machine is scheduled to enter mass manufacturing within the fourth quarter. It is supplied with a Corning Gorilla 6 cowl glass, IP67-certifed for water- and dust-proof, and adopts Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 collection processor with Android 9 and a 5200mAh battery. It includes a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 show and weighs solely lower than 250g.
The firm at the moment has a capital of NT$600 million (US$19.33 million) with Asustek holding round 30% of the shares.
