“…Maybe the best education related app I’ve purchased so far…”
–iPhone App Customer Review
New York, October 19, 2011 – In June, EasyBib introduced its iPhone application to rave reviews; it made citing references easier than ever before with just a quick scan of a resource’s barcode. Because of the success of the iPhone app (over 12,500 downloads since its introduction), EasyBib is happy to announce the launch of its new iPad app.
Containing the same features as the iPhone app, but optimized for the larger screen of the iPad, writers download the app to their iPad and can then quickly scan the barcode of a book or just type in the book’s name. Within seconds, an accurate MLA, APA or Chicago style citation is created. After that, the user can add more citations, or email and export the citations to EasyBib.com’s popular bibliography management service to be added to other citations being collected.
“Educators are using the iPhone app as an interactive and fun way to teach citations, showing students and researchers how easy it is to use their iPhone to track the bibliograpic information they find in the library,” commented Darshan Somashekar, EasyBib co-founder. “As the iPad now makes its way into classrooms, we believe it’ll be used in a similar way.”
Not only is the EasyBib app optimized for the iPad, the EasyBib notebook, which is patterned after the note card system taught in K-12 classrooms and the Cornell Note-taking system for high school and college students, is now compatible with the iPad too.
Next on tap for EasyBib is an Android app – a way to save time for even more of today’s modern researchers, and conveniently available for EasyBib users who aren’t near their computers.
