Over the last few months, Intel has been investing a lot into the drone technology and now has unveiled its first drone. Intel says the Falcon 8+ is the best performing device in the market with great weight-to-load ratio, making it the most stable in harsh conditions.
Unfortunately, it has not been approved by the Federal Communications for sale or use in the United States, and we have no details on the pricing or availability.
The drone comes with AscTec Trinity autopilot, which is a triple-redundant autopilot with three redundant inertial measurement units that compensate for external influences like electromagnetic fields or strong winds.
The Intel Cockpit is a redesigned mobile ground station, with water-resistant user interface, twin joysticks and an integrated Intel tablet. It is able to fly for up to 26 minutes at a time on a redundant power pack.
