Innolux to showcase smartphone-, tablet-use touch panels at Touch Taiwan 2016
Rebecca Kuo, Taipei; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 16 August 2016]

Innolux has extended development of touch panels from TOD (touch on display, On-Cell) to TID (touch in display, In-Cell) and will exhibit 5-, 5.2-, 5.5- and 5.7-inch TID smartphone-use touch panels as well as 8- to 12-inch tablet-use models at Touch Taiwan 2016 to take place in Taipei City during August 24-26.

5-inch HD TID touch panels integrate touch sensors with the display panels achieving a thin design, while 5.2-inch Full HD HIC (hybrid In-Cell) touch panels are based on optical alignment matched with LTPS (low-temperature poly-Si) + AAS (azimuthal anchoring switch) technology and feature ultra-narrow bezels. The 5.5-inch Full HD HIC touch panels integrate driver ICs and touch ICs.

For smartphone-use panel, Innolux will exhibit 5.2-inch Full HD panels with 0.8mm bezels, 5.5-inch Full HD Slim BLU panels with integrated light guide plates and optical film to achieve thicknesses comparable to OLED modules, and 5.7-inch QHD panels based on LTPS+AAS technology with 0.7mm bezels.

For tablet-use panels, Innolux will showcase 8-inch WUXGA TOD touch panels as well as 8-inch WUXGA, 10.1-inch WQXGA and 12-inch WUXGA+ panels.
