InFocus, the maker of the Windows 10 pocket PC is back. This time, the company is taking on one of Microsoft’s latest products. Meet the InFocus Mondopad, a Windows 10 PC with a giant 4K monitor — just like the Surface Hub. This isn’t the first time InFocus is making a product like this — three years ago, the company announced a similar product with Windows 8 and a 70-inch monitor.
Now, let’s talk about the Mondopad. InFocus is offering the device in 5 different sizes: 57″, 65″, 70″, 80″ and if that wasn’t enough, there’s also an 85-inch variant. As for the processor, you get the Intel Core i7 (6thn gen). For the RAM, InFocus has included 8GB of RAM which should do a decent job. You’ll also get 256GB of internal storage, and integrated stereo speakers.
The main difference between the Surface Hub and the Mondopad is the OS, as well as the price. Firstly, the InFocus Mondopad comes with Windows 10 Pro, but you can also get it with Windows 7 Pro. On the other hand, Microsoft’s Surface Hub comes with a different SKU of Windows 10, built for the big screen and it also includes things like integration with Skype and Cortana. According to InFocus, the Surface Hub only allows you to annotate on Microsoft Office — but the Mondopad will allow you to annotate on Office, Acrobat, images, as well as videos.
The price of the Mondopad starts at $5799, and it goes all the way up to $19999: the 57-inch variant is $5799, 65″ inch $7799, 70″ is $9799, 80″ $17799 and lastly, the 85″ variant is $19999. For comparison, the Surface Hub’s 55-inch variant costs $8999 and while the 84-inch variant costs $21999.
