Over at Computex 2017 In-win was showing off their WinBot spherical PC chassis concept. Granted, you need to really like it, but it sure is unique. As it now turns out, they will be selling these, likely in a very small quantity.
The ‘chassis’ is getting a two-color option, red and green, and each will be limited towards yes … 3 units. That means the half a dozen chassis are going to end up at companies attracted by this design. The release is March 28, and the anticipated selling price is 398,000 yen excluding tax, which is just over 3700 USD or 3500 Euros. over at Computex the unit had a 3D camera is built in for face recognition, automatic tracking. This round it’s just the chassis though.
It can hold four 3.5 inch units and eight 2.5 inch SSDs, you get a nice 8-expansion slot, and your graphics card is supported up-to 340 mm in length / 180 mm in height. Cooling fans are 120 mm × 3 front, 120 mm × 2 rear, and radiators up to 360 mm can be mounted on the front part. I / O port is USB 3.1 Gen.2 Type-C × 1, USB 3.0 × 2, audio terminal etc. The external dimensions are W685 × D648 × H 700 mm, weight 22.46 kg. The package is shipped in a 920 x 720 x 720 mm wooden crate and weighs in at 51 kg.
