IC testing solution provider Chunghwa Precision Test Technology (CHPT) has reported net profits of NT$203 million (US$6.5 million) for the third quarter of 2016, a record high. EPS for the quarter came to NT$6.60.
CHPT’s net profits totaled NT$466 million for the first three quarters of 2016, rising about 57% from a year earlier, with EPS reaching NT$15.56 compared with NT$10.61 during the same period in 2015.
CHPT posted revenues of NT$766 million in the third quarter with a 55.15% gross margin. Revenues for the first three quarters of 2016 climbed 55.5% on year to NT$1.92 billion with a 52.53% gross margin.
CHPT specializes in high-end IC testing solutions such as load boards for final testing and probe cards for wafer probing. The company is gearing up for robust demand for advanced-node chips, and has rolled out testing solutions for 10nm chips, according to president Scott Huang. CHPT expects its offerings for 10nm chips to start generating revenues in 2017.
Market watchers expect CHPT to see its 2016 revenues surge over 50% on year to a record-high level, with EPS surpassing NT$20 – also a record high.
