Hubblo introduced an early version of its Hubblo VR camera at CES. The product uses a unique triangular design with pairs of cameras on three sides. Each camera has a 200-degree fisheye lenses.
Live broadcasting is enabled by real-time stitching. Unlike some other 360-degree capture products, the Hubblo VR offers depth perception with its final images, making them more immersive.
Using the Hubblo app, users can put their smartphone into a VR headset and view the captured video.
Hubblo’s camera offers 4K recording at up to 30 fps.
The product’s manufacturing costs will be supported by an upcoming Indiegogo campaign. As long as funding is provided, it’s expected to launch for around $1,000 this year.
