Huawei yesterday announced that it had achieved breakthrough in graphene-assisted battery technology which would only mean better battery power and faster charging time. During thge announcement, the company official hinted at the new battery technology has been commerciallized and would debut in a new flagship that Huawei plans to announce by late December.
Before now, there were rumors that Huawei is working on its own Concept phone and that it would b release this month. Dr. Li Yangxing who is the Chief Scientist at Watt Laboratory made the announcement about the new battery technology and inadvertently revealed the existence of a true flagship device that would use the technology. This could be the expected Huawei Concept phone because it was also rumored as coming this month.
According to earlier rumors, the Huawei flagship would feature four-sided curved display which analyst Pan Jiutang alleged would be manufactured by Samsung. This would be added to the super fast charging technology the device has just been revealed to feature. The expected flagship is also said to be equipped with a number of sensors as well as capable of achieving artificial intelligence.
Other features on the concept phone as rumored include the absence of physical cameras at the front and rear, fingerprint sensor, no visible physical capacitive keys, as well as any visible speakers, headphone jack or any other physical feature except the curved screen. This is likely because the Huawei concept phone would come with a set of peripherals such as headsets, smart band or watch, external camera and even implant device. It is also rumored that Huawei would likely manufacture just the concept phones while the other peripheral devices would be manufactured by third parties.
This is a huge one if true but for now, we’ll just stick with the news that a Huawei flagship with four-sided curved display and super fast charging would launch this month. So watch out.
