India is slowly becoming one of the most important markets to smartphone manufacturers. Following LeEco, Xiaomi and Gionee, another Chinese company will soon start manufacturing smartphones in India and that is Huawei, who has just announced partnership with Flex.
The company will begin manufacturing smartphones in Flex’ Chennai plant starting in October. At first, one of the Honor phones will begin manufacturing and the plan is to manufacture three million units by the end of 2017. The first Made in India phones will be available in October.
Besides manufacturing phones, Huawei also wants to improve its service network in India, with over 200 centers and 30 exclusive centers across the nation.
