It has won millions hearts due to stylish design, decent specs list and affordable price tag. But this is very attractive niche and other manufacturers won’t sit tight. A few days back Huawei announced the Honor V9. It comes with identical features including Kirin 960 chip, 6GB of RAM, and many more. I am not talking about its price tag. So it’s quite reasonable why many people think the Huawei Honor V9 can affect the popularity of OnePlus 3T. That’s why we decided to compare these awesome devices in order to find out whether the newly launched Honor V9 can make a competition to the well-known OnePlus 3T.
Before we start comparing these handsets let’s take a look at the comparison table.
The Huawei Honor V9 is the improved version of the previous-gen Honor V8 with more rounded corners as well as narrower borders. The device is covered with a 2.5D arc glass. But when it comes to the back panel, we see the manufacturer has made a lot of changes. First, it uses a nano-injection metal housing. The latter passes a sandblasting processes. I guess no one will mind if I say the biggest shortcoming of this phone is the prominent back camera. Though it comes with a protective cover, it still looks annoying.
Verdict: both handsets come with high-quality bodies; both of them are made of metal; but the Huawei Honor V9 looks more stylish, and its color options are modern. As for the OnePlus 3T, it is at taste of tory customers. I guess the winner is the Honor V9.

The Huawei Honor V9 comes with a self-developed Kirin 960 SoC, while the OnePlus 3T is packed with the most powerful chip. The Snapdragon 835 is not available yet, that’s why the Snapdragon is still the best CPU in the globe.
AnTuTu results showcase the OnePlus 3T is a leader. Thanks to better 3D performance it outruns its competitor. But the Kirin 960 is better when taking into account CPU performance and RAM.

To test the discharging speed of both handsets we put them into a 4-hours test. As the screenshot below shows, the Huawei Honor V9 still remains 50% of power, while OnePlus 3T’s power is 56%. However, this is not surprising. Though the Honro V9 sports a larger capacity battery, do not forget it is packed with a larger display at higher resolution. Therefore it will drain more power.
When it comes to fast charging options, both devices offer such a feature. But if the Honor V9 support 18W input power, the OnePlus 3T support 20W input power. Though both devices are charged by 18% after the first 10 minutes, the OnePlus 3T provides faster charging. That’s why it is fully charged after 80 minutes, while the Honor V9 is done in 100 minutes.
Verdict: the winner is the OnePlus 3T.

The OnePlus 3T is packed with a 16MP camera sporting an IMX298 sensor. It comes with a f/2.0 aperture and OIS support. Its software known as Intelligent Pixel Technology is very popular.
The Huawei Honor V9 sports the third-gen 12MP dual-camera capable of recording 4K videos.
Verdict: Both devices are equipped with great camera, but the Huawei Honor V9 is more acceptable, as it provides brighter photos and better shooting experience.

The pros of the Huawei Honor V9 are the design and dual-camera, but it yields the OnePlus 3T in terms of performance and battery. This means many people will prefer the latter. But those who agree to sacrifice the performance in benefit of better look and camera, the Honor V9 will win the race. As a final verdict, we can say the Huawei Honor V9 can compete with the OnePlus 3T, but whether it can beat is disputable.
