Aside from announcing new smartphones, Huawei has also unveiled a new operating system – EMUI 8. The new interface is based on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo and is currently only available on Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design smartphones.
The good news is that the software is coming to other phones as well. Huawei’s software boss confirms that four more devices, including the Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, P10 and P10 Plus will get the latest version. The Mate lineup will get it in “three to four weeks” after the Mate 10 series launches, while the P-series flagships should arrive “in near future”.
