HTC had a busy day. After announcing a new smartphone called HTC Bolt, the company has also unveiled a new add-on for Vive VR headset that enables it to be used wirelessly. The accessory is available for order now for 1,499 Yuan ($220) from HTC China’s Vive site. It is set to ship sometime in the first quarter of next year, but no word on global availability.
The standard battery lasts for an hour and a half of play, but the company is already working on a bigger battery. Before the device launches, check to video below to see how it is being used. If the device proves to be really good, HTC might integrate it inside the next-gen Vive VR headset.
