There are only dozens of Android smartphones that support the latest Bluetooth 5.0 and although we expected that HTC’s flagship phone should have the support, for some reason, the Taiwanese company decided not to include the new technology with HTC U11.
Although it supports Bluetooth 4.2, it looks like the HTC U11 might support the Bluetooth 5.0 after all. According to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing, HTC plans to “enable Bluetooth 5.0 by software without any hardware change.”
So far, only Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, OnePlus 5 and Xiaomi Mi 6 support the technology and we are still missing on new accessories.
