During Valve’s Steam Dev Days developer conference, HTC has showcased a prototype of the upcoming controller as well as new position-tracking modules for its virtual reality headsets. Although press weren’t allowed, some attendees have tweeted photos of the new controller.
The controller appears to be smaller than the current Vive controller and the biggest advantage is that they strap to the player’s palm, so users can open their hands without dropping them. Apparently there is a total of 21 sensors on the current prototype. At the moment, not much is known about the controller.
