HTC’s follow-up to the U11 smartphone could be introduced on November 2. The company has delivered invitations for an event in Taiwan and since those invites feature a large “U,” it appears likely we’re going to see the U11’s successor.
A couple products in the U line are reportedly in the works. The first, a mid-range product called the U11 Life, is said to come with a 5.2-inch display, a Snapdragon 630, 3/4 GB of RAM, and 32/64 GB of storage. It has lower specs than the U11 and will cost around $400. The U11 Life is part of the Android One program.
On the higher end is the U11 Plus, an upgraded follow-up to the U11. It reportedly has a 6-inch 2880 x 1440 display, a Snapdragon 835, IP68 water resistance, 4/6 GB of RAM, and 64/128 GB of storage.
It’s unknown if both devices will be present at the November 2 event.
