HTC’s mobile division has been bleeding money for a few years now and despite having great smartphones, they can’t achieve the same success as they did with the HTC One M7 smartphone. According to new rumours, the company is considering the sale of its mobile division.
Since the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer hit with record low sales in February earlier this year, this looks like the only logical thing to do if they want to avoid bankrupt. Some reports are suggesting that Google is a potential buyer, which seems like a good fit if the company plans to launch more Pixel smartphones in the future.
If HTC really sells its mobile division, they will probably focus on VR devices, and with the rise of the VR, the company could gain some traction there.
