Smartphone leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) today shared some new info regarding HTC’s upcoming high-end Android smartphone that has so far been known only by its codename – “Bolt”. According to Blass, the smartphone will be marketed as the HTC 10 evo when it goes on sale around the globe.
Evan Blass was actually the first to reveal that the Bolt will be released in October and is going to be sold by Sprint in the United States. Since then, a few alleged live images of the smartphone have surfaced online, along with more details regarding the hardware inside. It has apparently been certified by the US FCC as well.
The smartphone is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, which was Qualcomm’s flagship mobile SoC last year. As for the display, rumors point to a 5.5-inch panel with either 1080p Full HD or 1440p Quad HD resolution. Rest of the rumored specifications include 3GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard memory, 18MP primary camera, 8MP front-facing camera, and HTC BoomSound audio. The HTC 10 evo is also likely to be the company’s first smartphone to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box. Some reports even suggest that the HTC 10 evo won’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
