Looks like Samsung and Apple will not be the only smartphone makers to launch “bezel-less” flagship smartphones next year. Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC too is rumored to be looking at an all-screen front for its 2017 flagship smartphone, the HTC 11.

A Weibo post claims the HTC 11 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset, which will be manufactured by Samsung on a 10nm node. The “borderless” display is said to measure 5.5-inches diagonally and will offer 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution. In the memory department, the HTC 11 is tipped to feature a whopping 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard memory.

At the back, the HTC 11 will apparently feature a dual camera setup with 12MP sensors. For selfies, there device could come with an 8MP camera on the front. In terms of battery life, the 2017 HTC flagship might prove to be a significant upgrade over the HTC 10, as the Weibo tipster claims the smartphone will pack a 3700mAh capacity battery with support for the Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging standard. HTC flagships have so far not been very impressive in the battery life department, so the HTC 11 could turn out to be an exception, provided the leakster is right about the battery capacity.

While there is no word yet on when the HTC 11 could be announced, we expect the Taiwanese manufacturer to debut its next flagship sometime in April. The handset should go on sale with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.
