The HP Elite X3 is the most desirable flagship Windows 10 Mobile handset of the second half of 2016, but it’s not a Lumia, which means many features our readers take for granted on Lumia handsets will not necessarily appear on the device.
It is therefore good to hear that a feature which has so far been somewhat neglected on recent Lumias will indeed be available on the device.
MicrosoftInsider.es reports that the device will feature an app called HP Display Tools which feature a number of customizations, including the ability to activate Double Tap to Wake.
The app also has a number of other useful features, such as the ability to prevent lock screen time out for more than 3 hours (useful for Continuum for Phones), and to stop the device from sleeping if it’s kept tilted (presumably in a natural position as when held in your hand).
MicrosoftInsider.es also report some other unique apps, such as HP Device Hub, which allows remote device diagnostics and support, and of course the HP Workspace app, which provides access to the cloud-based virtual machine which runs custom x86 apps, only available to enterprise users.
Are many of our readers planning to pick up the handset? Let us know below.
