HP today launched the Omen X desktop and Omen 17 notebook aimed at delivering the ultimate, immersive gaming experience.
The Omen X desktop is powered by the latest 6th generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor, paired with up to dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and up to dual AMD Radeon R9 Fury X graphics cards for a flawless virtual reality (VR) and 4K gaming experience. Omen X comes with revolutionary tri-chamber design to separate components and optimize thermals with dedicated cooling in each chamber. It can also support up to three 120mm liquid cooling radiators with top mounted exhaust vents. A stand lifts the case off the ground, which allows cool air to be pulled in to allow for greater ventilation.
The Omen 17 notebook not only packs impressive performance but is also one of the most portable 17.3-inch machine yet, with a 32.9mm thin profile and a weight of “just” seven pounds. It features the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or 1070 graphics, G-SYNC display technology, quad speakers with Bang & Olufsen audio, up to 4K resolution display with 300 nits brightness, VR-Ready support, 95W polymer battery for up to 7.55 hours of battery life, and a mini Display Port for dual 2K or 4×4 output and streaming.
The Omen X desktop is going to be available in the US via select retailers starting October 16 for a starting price of $2099.99. However, it will be available early via HP.com on August 17 with a starting price of $1,799. The Omen 17 gaming laptop will be available soon on HP.com starting at $1,599.
