Handset and digital camera chassis maker AVY Precision Technology has reported net profits of NT$45.02 million (US$1.42 million) for the second quarter of 2016, down from the NT$58 million a quarter earlier.
However, net profits of NT$103.02 million for the first half of 2016 represented an increase of 94.3% from a year earlier. EPS for the January-June period stood at NT$1.05. Gross margin for the first half reached 16.02%.
The company also report revenues of NT$697.85 million for July, up 9.72% on month and 23.6% on year. Accumulated 2016 revenues through July amounted to NT$3.969 billion, increasing 30.49% from a year earlier.
The company’s stock price edged down NT$0.10 to close NT$60.70 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange during the August 22 session.
