Last month, Google announced that its browser will come with a partial ad blocker beginning in early 2018. The idea behind the blocker is to block seeing particularly annoying and low-quality ads, but won’t block all advertisements. The only problem with this move is it will halve the revenue of torrent sites.
Many torrent sites are having financial problems and the increasing use of ad-blockers are definitely the main reason. Although many users already use ad blocker, with Google’s plan to include a default ad-blocker to Chrome, torrent sites can expect even bigger financial problems.
