With fast software development, many devices left unsupported after certain period, meaning it stops receiving major software update as well as security updates. Google has now posted a new end-of-life support page and added info about the Pixel and Pixel XL phones.
According to the page, the last major update for Pixel smartphones will be Android P, which should be released in 2018. Regarding the security updates, the phones will be supported for one extra year, or until October 2019. There is always a chance that Google will release update for Pixel phones in after they reach their end-of-life.
