Last week, we heard that Google might be working on a new payment app that will be released in India, but nobody thought it would happen this fast. The search giant has now officially announced that a new payment app called Tez is now available in the country.
It uses UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and works with all major banks. Users can use the app to make a payment directly from their bank account and don’t need to open separate accounts. There is also the Cash Mode that lets you instantly send or receive payments to anyone nearby without sharing personal details like phone number or bank account.
