On October 4, we expect Google to unveil a few new products, among which are two new Pixel 2 smartphones and maybe even a new device called Pixelbook. Ahead of the event, 9to5Google have spotted multiple app references to Google Assistant coming to Chromebooks.
Google wants to expand the availability of its smart assistant to as many devices as possible and Google Home app suggests the integration will be happening for sure, it is only a matter of time now.
Aside from news about Google Assistant, the search giant is also rumoured to be working on Amazon Echo Show competitor. TechCrunch reports that Google is developing a “tabletop smart screen” for video calling and that the device is going to compete with the Amazon Echo Show. Codenamed Manhattan, the device said to have the same 7-inch screen size as the Echo Show.
The launch was previously set for early 2018, but Google reportedly wants to launch it this year.
