Garmin Now Launches Fitness Tracker For Kids

If you want to keep up with your child’s fitness stats, then the new Vivofit’s fitness tracker could be a solution for you. Called Vivofit Jr., the fitness tracker is a child-size version of the Vivofit 3 that is now available from Garmin and select retailers for $80. More retailers will get the device later this fall.

As for the tracker itself, it is designed for kids. It can measure steps, distance, calories burned, active minutes and sleep, as well as to remind kids when they have been sitting for too long. Since kids are very active, Garmin has decided to make the tracker waterproof so it can be worn in the pool.

It is available in black, green camo, geometric red, and pink-and-blue floral designs, and supports wrists up to 145 millimeters. Garmin also offers larger bands for wrists between 146 to 170 millimeters.
