We’ve gotten our first look at the Boring Company’s underground tunnel in Los Angeles. CEO Elon Musk shared a picture of a tunnel that already looks like it’s headed towards functionality. The Boring Company has been working underground in the LA region, most notably around SpaceX’s Hawthorne, California facility.
It received a permit from Los Angeles to test its technology with a two-mile tunnel a couple months ago.
The Boring Company wants to use underground transportation systems to skirt around congestion, which is a particularly big issue in Los Angeles.
