Facebook is testing a new account recovery method, facial recognition. The company has added the feature to its app as an alternative to normal two-factor authentication methods or email-based account recovery. After images of the feature appeared, Facebook confirmed the test.

This optional feature is available only on devices you’ve already used to log in.
