Evolve Media Buys Crowd Ignite

Los Angeles-based Evolve Media, the parent firm of Gorlla Nation and AtomicOnline, said today that it has acquired Crowd Ignite, a developer of a “content exchange” engine which provides content to online publishers. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Crowd Ignite’s content is used to provide content to vertical audiences to drive traffic to websites. Evolve Media said the Crowd Ignite team, including founder Jake Moilanen, will join the firm post-acquisition. According to Moilanen’s LinkedIn profile, the acquisition actually happened in 2010.
