Some new Evil Within 2 screenshots are showing that the series’s creepness is high alright. Bethesda released them earlier today. The Evil Within 2 is the sequel to the first game.
he Evil Within 2 will focus on a new story, with Sebastian Castellanos being given a mission to rescue his daughter, who he thought had died in a fire several years before the events of the first game. Now, with the possibility that she’s alive, Castellanos must go into the mental world known as “Union” in order to rescue her, reports segmentnext:
The previous Evil Within game got a good amount of criticism for its story and characters, to say nothing of the host of glitches and game-breaking bugs that plagued both the Playstation 4 and PC versions. Hopefully the new game will have addressed these sorts of problems, and get back to the amazing horror and atmosphere that the first game took place in.
While the mental world that Castellanos is going to enter in this game is different from the world of the original Evil Within, the new Evil Within 2 screenshots that we’ve seen show that at least parts of it are going to be just as creepy as they were in the original game.
From the various screenshots, you can see that Union will be a fairly different world than the original world that Ruvic, the previous game’s main antagonist, imagined. For one thing, rather than the Resident Evil 4-style villages filled with zombies, this world seems more modern, with chain-link fences, hospitals, and more.
We’ll likely be given a lot more opportunities to explore that world when the game comes out on October 13, but in the meantime if you want to look at the new Evil Within 2 screenshots for yourself, look further up the article.
