EVGA has announced the updated SC17 1070 gaming notebook with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 mobile graphics and a large 17.3” IPS display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology.

The gaming notebook is powered by a 6th generation Intel Skylake Core i7-6820HK quad-core unlocked processor, which coupled with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics is capable of delivering unbelievable performance in the latest games. You can boost performance even further by overclocking the CPU multipliers, voltage, memory timings, and GPU clocks with the full GUI BIOS. In Windows, you can tweak the performance using the EVGA PrecisionX Mobile utility. Other key hardware specs of the EVGA SC17 1070 include 32GB G.Skill 2666 MHz DDR4 memory and a combination of 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6G HDD and a 256GB M.2 NVMe PCI-E solid state drive for ultra-fast speeds.

Along with impressive internals, EVGA has paid a lot of attention to the design as well. While the SC17 1070 is in no way a “sleek and compact” machine, it is relatively thin at 1.07-inches and features an aluminum unibody build that makes it look quite premium.

The 17.3-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS panel supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync variable refresh rate technology, which will help eliminate tearing and give you a completely smooth gaming experience.
