After weeks of delay, Essential’s CEO Andy Rubin told us last week that the Essential Phone would be coming “in a few weeks,” and that it would reveal the release date “in a week.” As promised, the company has now sent out invitations to a “first look” event that will take place this month.
According to a press invite, the event will take place on August 25 and only a select group of people will be able to come in and play around with the smartphone. At the event, the company is expected to announce when the phone will finally launch.
