Neuralink, another venture from Tesla’s Elon Musk, has pulled in $27 million in funding. The company is working on technology that’ll directly connect the human brain to machines, giving people a way to benefit from AI. An SEC filing revealed the funding, which came from 12 investors.
Though the funding round is technically still open and could generate up to $100 million, Musk says Neuralink is no longer raising money.
The company was revealed in March. Musk believes there are significant benefits to having brain-computer interfaces that allow the human mind to effectively upgrade itself by connecting to AI-based systems and the internet.
Musk is leading four companies: Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company, and Neuralink.
