Elon Musk shared an update photo of The Boring Company’s underground tunnel in Hawthorne earlier today, but instead of just capturing the tunnel, Musk showed a Tesla Model S in it. The picture reveals how large the tunnel is and confirms it can fit typical vehicles.
The Boring Company intends to create tunnels under major cities so that cars can travel underground. This would likely have the impact of reducing congestion, which Musk has personally complained about.
Cars will sit on magnetic platforms and be carried around the tunnels at up to 124 mph.
