Dynamic Communities Turns to Higher Logic to Spur Online Community Member Engagement and Conversation — Online Communities Fuel 28 Percent YoY Growth, 84 Percent Rise in Discussion Traffic for Microsoft User Groups

Washington, D.C., November 29, 2016 — Higher Logic today announced that Dynamic Communities, the administrative organization behind a number of Microsoft software user groups, has seen faster growth and higher retention as a result of implementing the Higher Logic online community platform to drive increasing communication and engagement among its user group members.

Dynamic Communities is the administrative organization behind professional software user groups such as the Dynamics AX User Group (AXUG), the Dynamics GP User Group (GPUG), the Dynamics CRM Relevant Products/Services User Group (CRMUG), the Dynamics NAV User Group (NAVUG), and more. More than 95,000 members participate in Dynamic Communities-managed user groups.

“Thanks to Higher Logic, we are delivering greater value to our members every day,” said Michelle Lowry, director of community and member engagement at Dynamic Communities. “Meanwhile, we are able to continue to grow our communities at a rapid pace without having to constantly grow our team. This is an excellent return on investment.”

Dynamic Communities recognized the need to foster communication and engagement among its association members and turned to Higher Logic to enable members to reach out to one another, engage in discussions, and provide feedback to communications from site administrators. Higher Logic offered an intuitive, easy-to-use community discussion board, vital management capabilities, and fixed pricing so costs would not increase as more members or staff accessed the system.

After launching Higher Logic for one user group, CRMUG, Dynamic Communities quickly launched communities for AXUG, GPUG, and NAVUG. Across these four user groups, their Higher Logic-powered communities delivered 28 percent year-over-year growth and an 84 percent rise in discussion traffic. By leaving some of the discussion boards open to the public, search engines like Google and Bing can crawl them, leading to an amazing increase of 1,319 percent in site visits across all the user groups — without any investment in SEO.

“Like hundreds of other organizations, Dynamic Communities has discovered that our cloud-based online community solution offers an extraordinary opportunity to foster communication and engagement,” said Higher Logic CEO Rob Wenger. “Our platform also provides a significant strategic advantage for the community host through a simple management interface, automation rules, and a range of capabilities administrators can use to enable members to help themselves.”
