DJI is currently the most popular, if not the best, drone maker on the market and they are not slowing down. Following the US Army ban due to possible cyber vulnerabilities, the company has now launched a new feature called Local Data Mode that was announced back in August.
The feature is now available in the latest update to the DJI Pilot app on CrystalSky and on some Android tablets, while it has yet to reach iOS or consumers using the DJI GO 4 app. Basically the feature blocks all internet data and the DJI Pilot app will not be able to detect the location of the user, show the map and geofencing information.
