DJI has announced that a new Osmo gimbal, the handheld version of the stabilizing gimbal and camera that you find on its drones, is now available for purchase. The new DJI Osmo Plus is available for purchase for $649, which is an $80 increase in price over the regular Osmo.
The new gimbal features the Zenmuse X3 Zoom camera, also an improved version of the Zenmuse Z3 aerial camera that was announced last month. It has a 12.4-megapixel sensor that is capable of shooting video in 4K. It also supports 3.5x optical zoom, which some users will appreciate. There are new features included, such as a new “motion timelapse.” To improve battery life, DJI has added a bigger 1,225 mAh battery.
