Dell announces its first UltraSharp HDR 10 display, retails at $1,9…

Today at the National Association of Broadcasters show, PC manufacturer Dell announced its first HDR10-compliant display, the Dell UltraSharp 27 inch 4K HDR Monitor, with UHD Alliance Premium Certification.

The UP2718Q boasts 1,000 nits peak brightness, bright whites, and deep blacks according to Dell, and support 1.07 billion colors thanks to the new support. On top of this there’s Dell PremierColor which features 100 percent Adobe RGB, 100 percent sRGB, and 100 percent REC 709.

In addition to the UltraSharp 27 4K HDR Monitor which is being marketed towards video editors, Dell also introduced a pair of its InfinityEdge design displays aimed at consumers, one a 27 inch 4K display (sans HDR) and the other a 25 inch display. And to top it all off, the OEM also introduced the Precision 5720 AIO workstation PC for digital content creators and the Dell Canvas, its 27-inch touchscreen device that’s set to take on Wacom’s devices for digital artists.

The new HDR 10 display will be available May 23 on Dell.com in the U.S. for $1,999.99, while the other two will hit retail around mid-July.
