We have reviewed tons of ultrabooks, but most of them are priced high. So when customers look for affordable ultrabooks, most likely they will be at a loss – either to pay a fortune to acquire a top brand ultrabook or to pay almost the same money for a good quality but not-that-much-popular brand. I mean if you have won Lotto you can afford yourself to get your hands on a MacBook Air. But if you have gathered some amount of money and want to buy an affordable ultrabook, you have to look for the best ultrabook deals. Do not try to find ultrabooks like the Xiaomi Air 12 or 13, because even when they get a price cut, they still cost over $500. The best thing you can do is to find deals for products like the Jumper EZBook 2, YEPO 737S, Onda OBook 20 Plus, Teclast TBook 12 Pro and many more. But most of them are tablet PC with a docking keyboard, therefore they are not full-featured laptops. It turns out when we are looking for a full-featured ultrabooks at affordable pricing, it’s not as easy as many can think. But there is one amazing device that can meet all the requirements customers set for ultrabooks. I am talking about the DAYSKY N141 also known as the DAYSKY Cloudbook N141.
The DAYSKY N141 is a high quality ultrabook coming with an attractive design and a decent list of features that are capable of providing an acceptable performance. And though the DAYSKY N141 looks amazing and ready to compete with any top-notch ultrabook in terms of appearance, it also costs very low that makes the laptop budget-friendly. The DAYSKY N141 is not the best ultrabook if putting all the features next to each other, but it is the best ultrabook in terms of features-design-price combination.
The DAYSKY N141 is made of plastic, but the lower part is made of metal for better ventilation. It’s known that metal gets warmer when a computer is ON, but it’s also the best material for this occasion, because other materials like plastic will melt. So when you see an ultrabook with a metal lower part, know it’s made for better user experience. Moreover, the combination of metal and plastic make the laptop be lightweight. The DAYSKY N141 comes at dimensions of 35.00 x 23.50 x 2 cm and weighs only 1200 grams.
The display comes at 14 inches and it provides resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Probably, many will ask why manufacturers come with such resolution displays instead of using ‘XGA’ standard (1024×768 pixels, 4:3 aspect). The most reasonable answer is displays with this resolution helps the screen makers in reducing the production costs by providing almost the same performance for 16:9 widescreen displays. So many customers think the ‘1366’pixels are better in comparison to ‘1024’ pixels, but the truth is that they provide the same experience for 16:9 screens as the XGA does for 4:3. Plus, this is a LED screen so it’s ‘harsher’ than LCD. Finally, a 0.3MP camera is placed above the screen for video chats.
Note: Look at the specs list before buying, because some sources mention Full HD resolution for the DAYSKY N141 display. May be there are models with such displays too.
The keys on keyboard are made of a soft plastic, so you won’t have any inconvenience when typing. However, as we are dealing with a 14-inch laptop, it’s quite reasonable to see non-full-sized keyboard there. On the other hand, the keys are located on a convenient distention. The touchpad is big and you won’t fall off from its area when working.
There are not many ports, but it seems the DAYSKY N141 has all the necessary interfaces including a microphone hole, DCSV, USB 2.0, and HDMI ports on the left side, a TF card slot, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB 2.0 on the opposite side.
This ultrabook is available in five color options including white, black, pink, green and blue.
Like many other cheap ultrabooks the DAYSKY N141 is not too impressive in terms of hardware, but it is packed with mid-range features that are capable of providing an appropriate performance. Thus you won’t have any problems for basic needs.
This ultrabook is powered with an Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core processor clocked at 1.33GHz. This is the same SoC found on the newer version of the Jumper EzPad 5SE. Anyway, it is paired with an Intel HD Graphics 400 GPU running on 646MHz, a 4GB DDR3 RAM, and 64GB eMMC internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via TF card slot. Besides this the DAYSKY N141 comes with a 10000mAh Lithium Polymer battery, which is capable of providing up to 4 hours of video playback. Thus this large capacity battery will keep the laptop alive for many hours on a single charge.
Note: Some sources mention the Intel Cherry Trail x5-Z8350 clocked at 1.44GHz as the chip on this device. So be attentive when buying the DAYSKY N141, because may be there are models with this SoC.
Finally, the DAYSKY N141 runs on Windows 10, so you will work on a smoothly running laptop with the newest interface and features.
- Ultraslim design
- High-Res Display
- Intel chip
- Large memory
- Large battery
- Price
- Small camera
- Mid connectivity options
The selling point of the DAYSKY N141 is the ultraslim body, but when looking under the hood we can see many acceptable features. This means it differs from other ulatrabooks due to appearance as well as decent specs list, but it is identical to cheap laptops in terms of pricing. So we can conclude the DAYSKY N141 looks quite attractive if comparing the money we have to pay for it and the features it comes at. Agree $258 is not too much for a mid-range ultrabook.
