D-link is releasing an interesting WiFi AC Starter Kit that also uses your power-lines, it’s fast as well at 1.2 Gbit/s. It combines latest HomePlug standard, Wireless AC technology and Gigabit Ethernet ports, it uses your home electrical wiring to extend your home network and Wi-Fi.
The setup could be really handy if you have say your WIFI router on a lower floor and need WIFI in the Attic. The DHP-W611AV PowerLine AV1000 WiFi AC Starter Kit D-Link includes a WiFi adapter that handles dual-band Wireless AC1200 with a combined rate up-to 1.2 Gbit / s (up to 300 Mbit/s at 2.4 GHz and up to 867 Mbit/s at 5 GHz).
The AC Adapter DHP-AV1000 P610AV PowerLine Gigabit pass-through adapter moces around that data over the power line. The DHP-W611AV PowerLine AV1000 Wi-Fi AC Starter Kit has a suggested retail price of € 124.99 and will be available from March 2017.
