Online transactions in the US on Cyber Monday narrowly surpassed those on Black Friday, with Adobe reporting retailers saw $3.39 billion in sales compared to $3.34 billion on the preceding Friday. Adobe’s data comes from 23 billion anonymized website visits, which cover 80% of the online transactions for the top 100 US retailers.
Sales on Cyber Monday were up 10.2% over last year. Consumers spent $12.75 billion between November 24 and November 28, a figure that was up 16.4% over last year.
Mobile devices were responsible for a significant portion of the activity, accounting for 44% of visits and 25% of all purchases.
