LG is facing a class-action lawsuit from customers whose G4 and V10 smartphones ended up stuck in boot loops. The lawsuit claims LG “was aware” or at least should have been of the hardware-connected issue.
It is said to have not responded adequately to the problem when contacted by customers. LG sometimes wouldn’t make repairs or it would only give them refurbished units with the same likelihood of having a boot loop problem.
Customers first reported problems around the end of 2015 and by January 2016, LG admitted there was an issue due to “loose contact between components.”
