Cooler Master today announced a new line of power supplies, the MasterWatt Lite 230V. The new lineup is claimed to be the survival kit for reliable, affordable power. All models in the lineup offer 85% typical efficiency with 80 Plus Standard 230V EU certification. While the new lineup is aimed at the mass market, the PSUs do offer a few high-end features such as Active PFC and PWM technology for greater stability. They meet the ErP 2013 and CE ratings for safety and low energy impact. Compliance with these regulations means that the PSUs will draw no more than 0.5W on system standby in normal situations.
The Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 230V lineup includes a total of four models – 400W, 500W, 600W, and 700W. Active PFC + PWM technologies combined with dual forward topology end double EMI filter helps enhance power output efficiency, increasing system performance as well as stability. The PSUs feature a 120mm HDB temperature control fan that works silently while providing adequate cooling.
Safety features offered by the MasterWatt Lite 230V lineup include built-in Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), and Over Power Protection (OPP).
Cooler Master has announced pricing and availability info only for Europe for now, but we expect the company to roll out the new MasterWatt Lite 230V PSUs in other regions in the near future,
