Ninelu Tu, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Monday 7 November 2016]

Connector and cable assembly maker Sinbon Electronics has reported consolidated revenues of NT$1.047 billion (US$33.27 million) for October, down 5.01% on month but up 2.88% on year. For the first 10 months of 2016, revenues totaled NT$11.142 billion, increasing 7.24% from a year earlier.

Shipments of connector and cable products to the automobile sector increased 7.84% sequentially in October, but shipments to the green energy, industrial and medicare sectors declined in the month, the company noted.

The company landed recently a 4-year contract for energy products from a PV equipment maker, which will help Sinbon sustain a significant growth in revenues in 2017, according to industry sources.

Meanwhile, the company also reported that it garnered net profits of NT$911 million during the January-September period, increasing 15.6% from a year earlier. EPS for the nine-month period stood at NT$4.06.
