Power inductor maker Magic Technology has reported net profits of NT$38.01 million (US$1.193 million) for the third quarter of 2016, representing a 103.9% growth from the previous quarter and a 15-fold increase from a year earlier.
EPS stood at NT$1 for the third quarter and NT$1.62 for the first three quarters of 2016.
The company said that it began trial production of related components supporting Intel’s Kabylake platform in the fourth quarter of 2016, and shipments of these products will gain momentum in the first quarter of 2017.
The company also reported earlier that it posted revenues of NT$130.12 million for October, increasing 28.74% from a year earlier. Accumulated 2016 revenues through October totaled NT$1.129 billion, increasing 19.14% on year.
The company’s stock price rose NT$0.95 to close at NT$33.65 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) during the November 22 session.
