Comcast has announced a wireless offering called Xfinity Mobile. It’ll roll out later this year and offer unlimited data for $65 per month. Xfinity Mobile is only available for Comcast’s internet customers.
There are 130 million mobile lines operating within Comcast’s regions and it hopes to turn a portion of those into Xfinity wireless subscribers.
Xfinity Mobile is based on Verizon’s network along with 16 million WiFi hotspots, making it similar to Google Fi.
You’ll be able to get the “most popular mobile phones,” including Apple, Samsung, and LG devices.
Those who don’t need unlimited data can get a $12 per GB plan.
