Solana Beach-based CineForm, a developer of video compression technology, has been acquired by helmet-mounted camera firm GoPro. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. GoPro said that CineForm will become a division of the company, and continue to develop and support its products. CineForm will join its offices with GoPro’s existing staff in San Diego. GoPro is based in Half Moon Bay, California, and was founded by UCSD graduate Nicholas Woodman. READ MORE>>
