Chuwi can’t be confused with any other brand. It is one of the leaders in the budget tablets and laptops market. If you want to get your hands on a product from the aforementioned categories, it will be difficult to find anything better than Chuwi. Maybe Jumper, Onda, Teclast, and a few other brands are making a tough competition to it. But seems Chuwi is a step forward. Well, recently, the manufacturer came in with a couple of new tablets named the Chuwi Hi9 and Chuwi Hi9 Air. The former one sports an 8.4-inch screen, while the latter comes with a 10.1-inch. As for now, we are offering you to take a look at a new model, which should be put between these models. The Chuwi Hi9 Pro has inherited features from both siblings. And what’s amazing it is offered at $135.99. Thus, its pricing is way closer to the original Hi9 rather than the more powerful Hi9 Air.

The Chuwi Hi9 Pro can be considered as a perfect back-to-school tablet. This season has already begun. So it can be a great gift for students who want a budget tablet to play with. The first and the most highlighted feature of the Chuwi Hi9 Pro is its screen. The latter comes with a size of 8.4 inches like the original version and its resolution is to 2K (2560 x 1600). However, we have to state the screen resolution is the same as that of its siblings.

The hardware and performance are what makes it outrun the regular version and get equal to the Air variant. The like latter, it is packed with a MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 deca-core processor, which is paired with a 3GB of RAM and a 32GB of internal storage. As a reminder, the original version is equipped with an MTK8173 quad-core processor. The difference in their performance is obvious. As for the Helio X20, it uses two fast Cortex-A72 cores at up to 2.3GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores at up to 1.83GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores at up to 1.4GHz. There is also a graphics unit of ARM Mali T880 MP4 clocked at 780MHz. All these features work under the control of Android 8.0.

Chuwi Hi9 Pro

We understand the current 8.4-inch tablets are designed so that we could implement single-hand operations on them. Our protagonist has nothing in common with the screen parameters of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, but due to its dimensions, the Chuwi Hi9 Pro is great in terms of ergonomics. The Hi9 Pro uses the same resin material on the back and, generally, comes with almost the same dimensions of 217.4 x 128.9 x 7.9mm. In contrast, the Hi9 has dimensions of 216.5 x 129.5 x 8.8 mm. As you see, it has become thinner. In its turn, it affected the battery capacity. The tablet is packed with a 5000mAh battery supporting 5V/2A charging.

The rest of features include a dual-band WiFi support, LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1 support, 5MP and 8MP cameras on the front and back, respectively, USB Type-C and USB 2.0 interfaces, and many more.
